If you’re like us, one of your lifelong goals is to have more meaningful mindful moments each day. It’s a worthwhile goal that will enrich your life and help you reach other dreams.
We have a challenge for you that will help us meet this goal…
Do you realize if we took only 2 moments every waking hour to deliberately be mindful (be present with our surroundings, focus on gratitude, check in on your thoughts), you’d end up with a lifetime of mindful moments.
Over ONE MILLION moments actually!
ONE MILLION MOMENTS would make for a beautiful life FILLED with joy, calm and gratitude, even on the tough days. To put that into perspective, that’s a goal to be mindful only once every 30 minutes and THIS is totally doable.
Your mindful moment could be as simple as a few seconds of breathing slowly, a couple thoughts on what you’re thankful for, or a deliberate focus on one of your 5 senses.
It could also be yoga, a walk in nature, a hot bath, or a meditation session.
Your million mindful moments can be anything that brings your attention back to the present moment and slows down racing thoughts which can hinder clear thinking.
This practice would have a significantly positive impact on you, your family and our world.
Imagine an entire generation being raised with the goal to reach 1 million mindful moments and beyond. There would be so many benefits including:
- Increased empathy and generosity would naturally rise
- More thoughtful and productive interaction online and in person
- Flourishing kindness and less anger
- More cooperation and less divisiveness
- MORE GOOD DEEDS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD!
We truly believe the world would be a better place with more individual mindful moments.
Perspectives would shift and we’d see clearly what’s most important in life. Who wouldn’t want this form of stress relief built daily into our lives?
It’s more than a challenge, it’s a way of life. Some of you are already doing this, maybe more than 2 times an hour. And for this we commend you. You can be our mindfulness mentors! We need all the help we can get.
The average overwhelmed human is running through life on auto pilot with sometimes days or weeks in between a mindful moment of being present and reflecting on their true desires.
We spend the vast majority of our lives living in the past or worrying about the future. We’re constantly comparing our lives with social media and getting lost in spirals of worry and fear.
This chaotic and rushed way of life is slowing hurting us all. We need to change the way we operate.
Remember, it only needs to be an AVERAGE of 2 moments an hour, so if you have a particularly hectic day, or you go to the movies for hours, you can make up for lost moments another more mindful day.
So challenge yourself and join the movement! Make it a way of life. Let’s work together to make our minds and the WORLD a calmer place.
We will be here for encouragement, reminders and mindfulness tips! Good luck and HAPPY MINDING! #millionmindfulmoments
